Consolation Prizes #6: Arguments

March 26, 2009

I decided that instead of harping on how it sucks to be single, I’m going to highlight to beautiful things about being single.*  Now I’m not daft, I realize that most of these reasons are going to be variations of the same underlying theme, “no longer having to compromise”, but let me have my fun.

Lost Season Five: He’s Our You

March 26, 2009

You shot me, you dick!

What I Liked:

  • There’s no such thing as a bad Sayid episode.  It’s one of those things you can just count on.
  • Have I ever mentioned how much I love have loved Zuleikha Robinson (since Rome)? So any extra bit of her helps.
  • This was the closest thing we’ve had to a traditional Lost episode in awhile (present day – relatively speaking – flashbacks to fill in gaps about circumstance and motivation and a shock ending).  It’s been awhile since my phone started ringing at 10:02 PM.
  • William Sanderson was Oldham.  They really loved Deadwood, I guess. Nothing wrong with that.
  • Great shock ending (despite the fact that they provided themselves an out two episodes ago)

What I Didn’t Like:

  • Ok.  It’s a personal pet peeve but I hate when the name of an episode or a movie comes from a line from said episode or movie.  “This Place Is Death” was the worst one.
