Since Wolverine comes out in a few days (how long before the Summer movie season starts in April), it’s about that time to go through what movies I would like to see this summer.  Odds are, I’ll only see the really big movies and every once and awhile catch an indie but I can dream, can’t I?

May 1:
X-Men Origins: Wolverine – I’ve nothing but bad things but it’s Wolverine. Have you met me? (trailer)

May 8:
Star Trek – Interestingly enough, I’ve never been into ANY of the Star Trek TV shows but love Star Trek movies. (trailer)

May 15:
Angels & Demons – I haven’t read the books nor was I a fan of The Da Vinci Code film but if at first you don’t succeed… (trailer)

The Brothers Bloom – Rian Johnson’s follow up to Brick (which I loved) plus it stars Rachel Weisz (whom I love) (trailer)

May 22:
Terminator Salvation – Why is Christian Bale still talking in his Batman voice? (trailer)

Easy Virtue – I’ve heard good things (trailer)

The Girlfriend Experience – I’m morbidly curious to see Sasha Grey in an actual movie. (trailer)

May 29:
Up - I see every Pixar movie in the theaters without question. (trailer)

Drag Me To Hell – Sam Raimi doing a horror flick again? Yes, please! (trailer)

June 5:
Land of the Lost - I dunno. The only thing that’s sorta making me want to see this is Danny McBride (trailer)

Away We Go – Sam Mendes’ comedy starring John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph? Yes, please! (trailer)

The Hangover - Watch the trailer and I’ll see you there. (trailer)

June 12:
Moon – Why isn’t Sam Rockwell a bigger star? Even his name is kinda cool. (trailer)

June 19:
Year One – This looks really stupid. May go drinking first (trailer)

Whatever Works – Woody Allen film with two things going for it: 1) Back in NYC where Woody Allen films belong and 2) Larry David in the obligatory Woody Allen role

June 26:
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – I’m more excited to hear Frank Welker doing the voice of Soundwave again than anything else. (trailer)

July 1:
Public Enemies – Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in a Michael Mann flick? Yes, please! (trailer)

July 10:
Brüno – This is my favorite of SBC’s three characters (Red-band trailer)

July 15:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince – it’s about fucking time! (trailer)

July 17:
(500) Days of Summer – Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt star. ‘Nuff said. (trailer)

July 31:
Funny People – You’d think I’d be sick and tired of Apatow films but I’m not.  I just wish someone outside of her husband would realize how talented Leslie Mann is (trailer)

August 7:
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra - I have no doubt this is going to suck but it’s G.I. Joe. Have you met me? (trailer)

August 14:
Taking Woodstock – I don’t know about this one but Ang Lee directed it so how bad can it be? (trailer)

Paper Heart – I didn’t know Charlene Yi and Micheal Cera were together.  That makes this movie a little more interesting (and potentially tragic if they break up) (trailer)

August 21:
Inglourious Basterds – It’s about time! QT has been talking about this movie forever (trailer)

August 28:
The Boat That Rocked - Frankly, I’ll see anything Richard Curtis directs (his last movie was Love Actually) (trailer)
