So after turning away from the Alabama/Texas BCS Championship game, I flipped to the Knicks game just in time to see them beat the Charlotte Bobcats.  They are now only 0.5 games out of the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.

I found myself getting excited and then pausing when I realized, “Oh my God, I care about the Knicks.”  No! This can’t happen.  I want to ignore them and then be pleasantly surprised if they do make to playoffs but not be disappointed if they don’t.

This can only end poorly for me.
