I’m going to try something different and break my annual TV post by day. This way, it might be easier to digest
8:30 pm: Bob’s Burgers (FOX; 9/30)
The only Fox animated show I enjoy. It’s not always laugh out loud funny but it’s always interesting. This is one of those shows I wish were more popular. Maybe Seth McFarlane can attach his name to it.
9:00 pm: The Good Wife (CBS; 9/30)
I’ve been trying to take advantage of my “free time” and catch up on this show. I’m halfway through season two and think I’ll be able to finish (if this pesky wedding doesn’t get in the way). I’ve never been a big fan of Julianna Margulies but I’m warming up to her. She’s almost shows emotion in this show.
9:00 pm: Revenge (ABC; 9/30)
Revenge is the textbook definition of a guilty pleasure show. It started to falter towards the end but the finale assured I’d be tuning in for season two. if anything, I’m going to take a shot every time a character smiles in someone’s face, turns around and scowls. Just kidding. I’d get alcohol poisoning.
9:00 pm: Boardwalk Empire (HBO; 9/16)
I don’t know what this show is going to look like after the death of (spoiler) but I think Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) has made a necessary turn as a character. As a certain enforcer on the best drama on television, “no half measures.“
9:00 pm: Dexter (SHO; 9/30)
Last season was horrible. If not for the closing moments of the season finale, I would probably drop this show for good. Luckily, we have a hook for this season. How long will it take for them to screw it up.
10:00 pm: Homeland (SHO; 9/30)
The best new show of 2011. I can’t wait to see what new and exciting ways Claire Danes finds to break down and cry.
10:00 pm: The Walking Dead (AMC; 10/14)
I’m almost hate watching this show. They know how to open a season to get you excited and they know how to close a season to make sure you come back. It’s the episodes in between that are problematic. With (spoiler) dead and my favorite character from the comics, Michonne, finally showing up, I have high hopes for season three. Third time’s a charm, right?
