I’m not doing Worst Show of the Week anymore because usually when I watch something bad, I push it right out of my head and it’s hard to recall later.  But if you really want to know, odds are the worst thing I watched every week is going to be Saturday Night Live.

10. Better Off Ted (Episode: “Love Blurts”) – Not the best BOT episode but I’m just happy it’s back.

9. The Big Bang Theory (Episode: “The Gorilla Experiment”) – Sheldon trying to teach Penny basic physics? Why wasn’t this funnier?

8. Gossip Girl (Episode: “The Debarted”) – I had to steal this from NY Magazine’s weekly Daily Intel recap: “Serena walks out of the country house with her baggage and no car in sight, just planning to “find a cab” in the middle of bumfuck Nassau County. God, she’s amazing.”

7. Dexter (Episode:  “Hello, Dexter Morgan”) – The tension of the last three minutes of this episode was great but why do they keep trying to care about Angel and LaGuerta’s relationship.  I don’t

6. How I Met Your Mother (Episode: “The Window”) – If this means Ted is back on the “Mother” path then I’m all for it.  The more Ted strays from this path, the douchier his character becomes.

5. Friday Night Lights (Episode: “Stay”) – I didn’t think I missed Lyla (Minka Jete…Kelly) but this episode made me miss her.

4. Fringe (Episode: “Grey Matters”) – I didn’t like the reveal at the end with William Bell but now that we have our official villain for season two, I expect all the mythology episodes to be that much better.

3. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (Episode: “The Gang Reignites the Rivalry”) – I saw this episode back in September at the The Nightman Cometh Live at the Beacon Theater and I think this may be in my top 10-15 Sunny episodes ever. I lose it when Dennis starts screaming “IDIOTS!!!”

2. Dollhouse (Episode: “A Love Supreme”) -  Alpha’s back! It’s so much fun to see Alan Tudyk who was pretty mild-mannered in Firefly get his Heath Ledger on. It’s sucks that this show has gotten so much better with it’s cancellation but I’m sure it’s no coincidence.

1. Glee (Episode: “Sectionals”) – Was I the only one who felt like this episode was made thinking the show was not going to last beyond it’s original 13 episode? When it comes back in April (WTF?), so many of the dynamics will have changed that it feels like a brand new show. I look forward to it.  Also, a special note to Lea Michele’s rendition of “Don’t Rain On My Parade.” Just wow.

The Power Rankings: (may contain mild spoilers)

10. Gossip Girl (Episode: “Treasure Of Serena Madre”) – This is the closest Gossip Girl has been to greatness that was season one.

9. Dollhouse (Episode: “The Public Eye”) – I did NOT see the twist with Senator Perrin coming.  I should have known that his wife being a doll was too simple.

8. Jersey Shore (Episode: “The Tanned Triangle”) – The first reality series to ever make it on the Power Rankings.  Snooki? The Situation? This show is tragically amazing.

7. Parks and Recreation (Episode: “The Fourth Floor”) – It’s nice that they finally gave Tom (Aziz Ansari) some actual feelings instead of being the prankster although I feel like the Andy accosting Ann and Mark should stop because it gets less and less funny every time we return to it

6. Fringe (Episode: “Snakehead”) – The last scene between Walter and Astrid got me a little misty-eyed.

5. Glee (Episode: “Mattress”) – Finally! My biggest complaint about Glee – Will not knowing Terri wasn’t pregnant – is finally over! The scene between Terri and Will upon his discovery was so intense and well-acted, the ridiculousness of the story was almost worth it…almost. After we take care of Finn thinking he’s the father of Quinn’s baby and the Emma/Ken engagement, I’ll have nothing left to complain about.

4. House (Episode: “Wilson”) – It’s kind of sad that the best episode of House post-asylum limited the appearances of House’s crew and kept House as a peripheral character in Wilson’s story.

3. Dollhouse (Episode: “The Left Hand”) – Two things made this episode awesome to me: 1) The nerdy respect and flirting between Bennett Halverson (Summer Glau) and Topher (Fran Kranz) and 2) the acting genius of Enver Gjokaj playing Victor-imprinted-as-Topher. He needs to be cast in something immediately now the Dollhouse is done.  He is amazing.

2. Friday Night Lights (Episode: “The Son”) – Zach Gilford is going to be robbed of a well-deserved Emmy nomination for his performance in this episode.  That may seem presumptuous on my part but if Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler haven’t gotten nominated by now, no way anyone on this show is.  Regardless, it’s definitely one of the best single-episode performances I’ve seen this year.

1. Sons of Anarchy (Episode: “Na Triobloidi”) – Two questions: 1)  I wish someone would just shoot Agent Stahl in the face and 2) can’t SAMCRO catch a break? Just one?

Worst Show of Last Week: V (Episode: “It’s Only The Beginning”) – It’s sad that I’ve actually missed 90210. I hope they Scott Peters, the new showrunner, turns it around in March

10. Ugly Betty (Episode: “Level (7) With Me”) – I’m glad we are done with the Community of the Phoenix AND the Nico fake blackmailing storylines.

9. Californication (Episode: “Mr. Bad Example”) – Probably the most boring episode of the season but Hank Moody is always good for one or two good laughs

8. How I Met Your Mother (Episode: “Slapsgiving 2: Revenge Of The Slap”) – Not as good as the first Slapsgiving but how can I be mad at an episode that has Chris Elliot and Alyson Hannigan revisiting her days as Evil Willow

7. Glee (Episode: “Hairography”) – Can Terri just die already? I don’t even care if her secret ever gets out. I just want her entire being to be removed from the show as if she never existed

6. The Big Bang Theory (Episode: “The Vengeance Formulation”) – What was with all that makeup Katee Sackhoff had in Howard’s fantasy? What a waste.

5. The Venture Bros. (Episode: “Self-Medication”) – I really hope Sgt. Hatred is not long for this world.  I want Brock back!

4. Dexter (Episode: “Hungry Man”) – Best episode of the season.  The entire scene when Dexter showed Trinity his true face ranks up their with the series’ best scenes. Still, I thought the twist at the end was ridiculous.

3. Modern Family (Episode: “Fizbo”) – So many great moments I don’t even know where to begin.  Best line: “I am brave. Roller coasters? I love ‘em. Scary movies? I’ve seen Ghostbusters like seven times. I regularly drive through neighborhoods that have only recently been gentrified. So yeah, I’m pretty much not afraid of anything.” Oh Phil…

2. Sons of Anarchy (Episode: “Culling”) – Not as great as the last two episodes but still pretty damn good. It was good to see SAMCRO acting smart for once.

1. Curb Your Enthusiasm (Episode: “Seinfeld” ) – The only thing that would have made this episode better was a cameo by Leon. I wonder how much of the actual Seinfeld reunion was written and filmed.

10.  How I Met Your Mother (Episode: “The Playbook”) – While I enjoy Barney’s single shenanigans, I’m still slightly bothered how the Barney/Robin relationship which the show invested us all in has dissipated so quickly.

9. Parks and Recreation (Episode: “Hunting Trip”) – This is slowly becoming my favorite show on NBC Thursday nights.

8. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (Episode: “The D.E.N.N.I.S. System”)

7. Glee (Episode: “Ballad”) – Not as good as last week but still a step in the right direction.  I don’t think I can truly love this show until the two pregnancy secrets are revealed (especially Terri’s)

6. Community (Episode: “Environmental Science”) – Andrea and I sang “Somewhere Out There” at Sing Sing Karaoke at around 5 AM in the morning inspired by this episode.

5. The Mentalist (Episode: “His Right Red Hand”) – Like sci-fi shows, crime procedurals have mythology episodes and with The Mentalist, any episode that involves Red John is infinitely better than run-of-the-mill episodes.

4. Friday Night Lights (Episode: “A Sort Of Homecoming”) – I’m really getting tired of Landry getting attractive girls but the end of this episode was just sad.

3. The Big Bang Theory (Episode: “The Adhesive Duck Deficiency”) – Episodes where Penny and Sheldon spend most of the episode together >>> all other episodes

2. Curb Your Enthusiasm (Episode: “The Table Read”) – Leon (JB Smoove) completely stole this episode! “I Danny Dubersteined the shit out of him!”

1. Sons of Anarchy (Episode: “Service”) – The only thing that bothered me about this episode is that conflicts that have been building all season got resolved a little too smoothly (unless some people are playing possum). For all the praise I’ve given Katey Sagal (Gemma), Ryan Hurst (Opie) has been equally amazing.
