9/11 Memories Revisited

September 11, 2009

This is the blog post I wrote on 9/14/01.

FRIDAY 9/14

I’m sorry for the long long long long delay for an update but I was on vacation for the first week of September and decided to take a vacation from cyber-living. Also, my laptop had to go into the shop and most of my stuff I do for this site is on my computer on work (I need to fix that lest I get fired on the fly)…and then when I came back, my first priority was to do this but Lou S. Cypher was up my ass like an OZ inmate…and then Tuesday happened.

There’s a lot to talk about… Read the rest of this entry ?

I’m Glad Someone Finally Said….

October 20, 2008

“I’m also troubled by, not what Sen. McCain says, but what members of the party say, and it is permitted to be said such things as: “Well, you know that Mr. Obama is a Muslim.” Well, the correct answer is: he is not a Muslim. He’s a Christian. He’s always been a Christian.

But the really right answer is: What if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer is: No, that’s not America. Is there something wrong with some 7-year-old Muslim-American kid believing he or she can be President?

Yet I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion: he’s a Muslim, and he might be associated with terrorists. This is not the way we should be doing it in America.”

I know that seems silly but I appreciate all those folks who are just being honest about how they feel about Blacks and Muslims.

All this open racism is refreshing.

Here are some samples:

So everyone who thinks the country is so different because a mixed man is running for president and may win, keep thinking.
