Movie of the Week: G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

I really tried to enjoy this movie but Adult Sean kept preventing Childhood Sean from doing so.

For example, I couldn’t get past the bad acting, the corny script, the bad CGI and the fact that Snake Eyes had lips (?!?).  Something so simple as “Snake Eyes wears a mask that has no lips and they couldn’t let it slide.

Also, why was Joseph Gordon-Levitt even in this movie?  I’m pretty sure they didn’t use his voice (or didn’t need to) and he only had two scenes.  What a waste of a good actor.  Also why did they combine Cobra Commander and Dr. Mindbender?

Whatever, I still enjoyed it more than Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen because this movie didn’t take itself as seriously.

Movie of the Week: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

It was big, loud and dumb.  The one Me is for the fight in the forest with Optimus Prime vs. three Decepticons (including Megatron) because that was cool.

Movies I’m Interested In Seeing: Summer 2009

Since Wolverine comes out in a few days (how long before the Summer movie season starts in April), it’s about that time to go through what movies I would like to see this summer.  Odds are, I’ll only see the really big movies and every once and awhile catch an indie but I can dream, can’t I?
