Movie of the Week: The Time Traveler’s Wife

I’ll admit that my attraction to Rachel McAdams (Clare) kept me interested in the beginning but by the end of the movie, I genuinely enjoyed it.  For a chick flick with a little bit of a sci-fi spin, it wasn’t blatantly tiring to tug at the heartstrings (my biggest pet peeve of movies aimed at women).

It told a great story effectively although towards the end, things were kinda happening too fast. Also, it wasn’t clear how many people knew about Henry’s (Eric Bana) condition. I appreciate that they established the rules of Henry’s time travel and never cheated for dramatic effect.

I was watching The Daily Show when Rachel McAdams revealed three major plot points and, while I was looking out for them, it didn’t ruin the movie for me.
