What the Snowman Learned About Love

How the heart bends
And summer she sends
A sky that refuses to die
With weeds of the sea
That wrap ’round our knees
And a sun too hot to go down
You come around
You come around…

It couldn’t last forever, could it.

After my endless search for all the Consolation Prizes for being single (which sadly petered out at six things), after all my lists about what I was looking for in a girlfriend (2008 and 2009) and what I loved/missed about being a relationship, I eventually it would all catch up with me. Contrary to popular belief, I was not actively avoiding being in a relationship or anything of the sort.  I’ve always been of the belief that when it happens, it just happens.

Meet Cindy and she happened.

I’ve known for many years, initially via Okayplayer (will that website ever not be a part of my life?).  She’s currently working on her PhD at UCLA.  I’m pretty sure she’s the only person I know who’s been blogging as long as I have. She’s beautiful and has my favorite smile of all-time. She matches up remarkably well on my lists (which makes me blind or dumb for a long time). Overall, she’s awesome (and thinks I’m awesome too but not equally as awesome as her because she’s not the most modest person I’ve ever met).

And she’s my girlfriend and that’s pretty awesome too.

P.S: We started a Bicoastal Mixtape on Tumblr because we’re cheesy.  Enjoy!

Now, I’ve jinxed us and we’re doomed
