I take a lot of photos of Xavi. A lot. Too many. I thought I’d spend the next eleven days before Xavi turns three sharing my favorite photo for each month of his not-so-terrible Two’s.
After many fits and starts, I was finally able to hang out with my friends Nikki and Tony and meet most of their kids for the first time. One of the reasons that I was excited to move back to the East Coast was seeing my friends again. It hasn’t really worked out that way so far because Ithaca isn’t exactly close and when we do drive to Long Island, the grandparents hold Xavi hostage as much as they can.
Cindy had to work that day so Xavi and I drove three and a half hours to Nikki’s house where Tony’s family and Andrea were going to meet us. It was a rough drive especially since Xavi didn’t feel like taking a nap on the way. Once we got there, Xavi was a little shy but then Xavi saw his favorite thing in the entire world: other people’s toys. No matter what Xavi gets as a present or we buy him, nothing will ever appeal more to him than the toys he doesn’t have. When he saw Taylor and Justin’s play room, he was in heaven.
Unfortunately, Xavi can get a little destructive in his play and I felt bad at the mess he was making. This was his face after I told him stop messing up Justin’s train track. I just love all the colors in the picture.
